A big  “THANK YOU” goes out from your Fleet Captain to all those who came out for the Fleet Captains Auction on April 2nd at the Old Marco Lodge in Goodland.  We had 55 – 60 participants bidding on the “Nautical” Treasurers donated to MBYC.  By the end of the auction, Marco Bay made $2,303, which will be divided between four local charities; 1) Coast Guard Auxilary, 2) Civil Air Patrol,  3)Power Squadron and 4) Jeanne Oswald Fund, and additionally the Club gave out five $50 cash prizes in a drawing to the lucky participants.

Jackie Hays donated two beautiful, yummy cakes for the auction and many boaters brought good stuff for both your home and boat.  Al Rapp was our highly motivated auctioneer and Bob Burns, Brent Cook and Gerry Odenbach helped him to make sure “NO BIDS WERE LEFT BEHIND”.  Betty Barter and Bill Horton kept track of all the dollars and Luther Hays took care of the raffel.  The Old Marco Lodge did a great job of passing out the food and keeping our glasses full.  Bud and June Zinn were the recipients of the illustrious 2011 “PROP AWARD” for being the biggest spenders!
