This year’s Welcome Back Party had a record attendance of 105 members.  Kretch’s Restaurant opened on a beautiful Sunday evening, November 4th, exclusively for MBYC.  The evening began with Happy Hour drinks and the sit-down dinner that followed offered members a choice of three entrees.  The dinner finale was a wonderful apple strudel with vanilla ice cream.
Interim Commodore, Joe Doggett, called the Annual Meeting to order prior to dinner.  The slate of officers was elected as presented:  Marcia Orsolini, Commodore;  Jack Barter, Vice Commodore;  and Charlie Skillern, Rear Commodore.  The Class of 2015 was elected as presented:  Bob Boland, Mike Brown, Chuck Hubscher and Dan Lowell.
To complete the meeting’s business, Rick Geschrei, interim Fleet Captain, spoke about the upcoming boating events.  Marcia Orsolini asked everyone to check their schedules and sign up to join them on the Holland America Caribbean Cruise scheduled for the end of February. 
Cindy Brown, social co-chairperson, thanked the Anzalones for receiving the RSVP’s and checks for the Welcome Back Party in our absence and also reminded members of our fast-approaching Holiday Party being held at the Hideaway Beach Club on Tuesday evening, December 4th.  Wonderful entertainers, Billy Dean and Dawn, will provide for our musical enjoyment from 7-10PM. Flyers are available in the November Baylines and on the website.  Please reserve early!
Prior to dinner, our Club Chaplin, Alan Sandlin, offered a prayer.  Although some previous speakers needed a microphone to be heard above our exuberant group, Alan used no microphone and there was complete silence.
However, once the prayer was offered and dinner was served, members returned to greeting each other and catching up with old friends.
It was apparent to all that our snowbirds were pleased to be back on Marco and all members were very happy to be together again to kick off a new season.
