Jane is a Jersey girl who, through her childhood vacations, discovered the beauty of Marco Island. Ron, a California boy, met Jane when they were opening Hotel/Casinos in Atlantic City. They made NH their home when they developed the Three Chimneys Inn in Durham. They are now full time Marco residents and Ron, who tried to retire, is building spec homes on Marco, while Jane is the SWFL representative for Duffy Electric Boats.

They have three children and one grandson.

After attending three Monday Madness evenings, Ron was convinced that it would be nice to meet even more of the friendly members of the MBYC.

Ronald &

Bob &

Gagnon We are in the process of making Marco our only home. Right now, we summer in NH on Lake Winnipesaukee and try to spend a great deal of time on the lake in our 26′ bow rider with our dog Ace. Bob is a working (circuit designer) snow bird and Linda has just retired from a career in business development. We enjoy travel and love to spend time on the water. We look forward to meeting many new friends at Marco Bay Yacht Club.
Bruce grew up in Alpena Michigan which is in the northeast corner of the lower peninsula. Connie grew up in mid-western Ohio. We met when Bruce was fresh out of training as an orthopedic surgeon and was starting his practice in Ohio. We discovered Marco Island while flying over the area in the 80’s and vowed to check it out as a place to live during retirement. The idea of having a house in Florida on a waterway with direct access to the ocean seemed like a fantasy. We have been living on Marco Island since 2002 and still feel that way. Bruce has many fond boating memories from his days in Michigan and has enjoyed introducing Connie to the experience. We hope that by participating in group activities that we will be able to take trips and enjoy our boat in ways Connie would not otherwise be comfortable. Kane Bruce &

Donald &

Bob and Lynn have vacationed in Marco since 1990 and bought their first house here in 2003. Several houses later, they now spend about eight months in Marco and four on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH, with boats outside their door at each home. She jumped into the Marco lifestyle, founding two Newcomers groups, Island Girlfriends and Saucy Sisters. She currently chairs the Development and Scholarship Committees for the local chapter of the America Association of University Women (AAUW.) Bob is semi-retired, still over-seeing several office buildings in Manchester, NH and negotiating contracts for a medical product development company. We are both from St. Paul, MN, but have lived in St. Charles, IL (outside Chicago) for the past 24 years. We’ve also lived in St. Louis, MO, Ithaca, NY and Bloomfield Hills, MI. We have two daughters and a son. Janine taught elementary school for several years. John is retired after working for Cargill Inc., and Chicago Sweeteners for 35 years. Marco has been a vacation destination for us since the 1990’s, as Janine’s parents were longtime snowbirds here. In fact Marco has become a family gathering place. We owned a condo at the Prince for nine years and bought a house this past August. One reason for purchasing a house was so we could buy our 24 foot Hurricane and two jet skis.
