Just as March Madness has become a pervasive event in all our lives, Monday Madness continues to bring community to our MBYC. Our cocktail time at CJ’s was extremely well attended, the weather was warm and breezy, and the members spent hours chatting, drinking, and overall just enjoying the moment. How lucky we are to be on Marco Island by the bay.
Our last 2025 MBYC event was held on December 29 th for our Monday Madness at CJs. The weather was very pleasant and discussions were held while most of the country is dealing with snow and freezing cold, we are very fortunate to live in Marco Island. Everyone enjoyed the holiday season and are looking forward to the New Year.
Past Commodore Brent Cook, recognizing the need for something to occupy captains during Friday afternoon first mates canasta games, initiated a luncheon. At noon Fridays, you are invited to join other club captains at Hoot for lunch and enjoy a time of camaraderie, affording an opportunity to get better acquainted. See you there.

We all got together for some Madness on Monday November 24, at Star Bar, CJ’s.
For those who went north for the summer, we who stayed, enjoyed our monthly Monday Madness and dine arounds at USS Nemo, Blackbirds, and Unidos. Check out the gallery of photos of the events. Welcome back, keep an eye out for eBlast for upcoming club events. Looking forward to seeing there.
Wednesday Oct 22.
MBYC started the Day Fleet season with a ride to Wahoo’s Bar & Grill. The weather was fantastic, no wind and the Gulf was nearly glass like. As typical, we did have an issue with one boat before it left the dock at Marco, but our host Tony D’Alba swung by and added 4 more people to his boat for the ride.
We had 17 members attending the event and we sat outside since the weather was so nice. We were nearly the only ones there. The service, hospitality and food was commendable.
Our next Day Fleet event is to Doc Fords in Ft Meyers, Nov 18. The Long Range Cruisers will already be in Ft Meyers that week and are planning to swing in for lunch. Should be a big attendance so RSVP early.
