On December 1st, at the Hideaway Beach Club, 70 members enjoyed the wonderful music and singing of Billy Dean and Dawn. Hideaway was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Huge wreaths sparkling with white lights decorated every window. The Christmas tree “greeted” members at the entrance to the room. A festive spirit was present and was a great start to the holiday season.

Immediately following Commodore Bob Boland’s welcoming remarks, and Alan Sandlin’s invocation, members proceeded to the buffet that consisted of various delicious food stations. The chefs did a fantastic job with the buffet consisting of a salad station with Caesar Salad, Wedge Salad and a delicious Brie en Croute. The pasta station had the members raving about the food which consisted of “made to order” pasta with your choice of shrimp, chicken, veggies, and two sauces. The chef maned a carving station, that included roast turkey and sliced ham choices rounding out the entree section of our buffet. The night was complete with an ice cream station which satisfied everyones sweet tooth! Hideaway’s wait staff did a fantastic job making sure everyone had their drinks filled and our tables cleared.

The music of Billy Dean and Dawn entertained all the members. Most members took to the dance floor to enjoy both fast and slow music. Other members enjoyed socializing and listening to the music. They always get us in the holiday mood and what a great start to the holiday season!
