We had a pleasant, breezy afternoon for the last Final Monday of the season at CJ’s. About 30 members attended to enjoy the camaraderie…..or to say goodbye to those leaving for the summer…..or to take advantage of Crazy Danny’s Ship’s Store sales. Dan Dotterweich and John Kernan encouraged the shoppers to “buy up” and good deals abounded.
Sally Orth distributed questionnaires to aid in preparations for next year’s 50th Anniversary of our amazing club. Please make sure to fill it out and get it back to Sally.
Commodore Frank Mulligan and his crew of salespeople sold 50/50 raffle tickets. Gilligan’s Island cast member, Marianne (aka Judy Sacher) picked the first winner, Cea Horton. The professor (aka Bill Schroeder) picked the other winning ticket and the cash went to Brad Smith, who cavalierly turned it over to his wife, Charmaine.
Monday Madness allows us to get to know new members, keep in touch with other members, and catch up on the past month’s news (and gossip!). It’s a great way to end each month.
