Marco Bay Yacht Club held its annual Holiday Dinner Dance at Hideaway Beach Club on the evening of December 1st. Our members started the Holiday Season with another wonderful event at Hideaway overlooking the gulf. As always, the dining room was very festive: decorated with Christmas trees and beautiful wreaths that were lit on all the windows.
The evening started with a cocktail reception where the members could mingle with all their friends. All the ladies and gentlemen were dressed in their holiday attire. Many of the men had their Christmas and holiday ties on and received many compliments.
Once again Alan Sandlin gave a beautiful innovation at the start of the dinner. This was followed by a buffet which consisted of a salad station with several salads and a Bruschetta display, a ham and turkey carving station with all the accoutrements, a “made to order” pasta station offering three pastas with your choice of shrimp, chicken, veggies and two sauces which was served by three chefs and an ice cream dessert table. Hideaway wait staff did a great job, as they always do, keeping our drinks filled and our tables cleared.
Certainly, a highlight of the evening was the entertainment. Billy Dean and Dawn were wonderful and delighted everyone with their musical selections for listening and dancing pleasures. While some members socialized and enjoyed listening to the music, many took to the dance floor to enjoy both slow and fast dances.
Thanks to Billy Dean and Dawn for an evening of exceptional entertainment, and thank you all for making this another successful Marco Bay Yacht Club Event.
