“We were robbed! Knowledgeable observers all over Marco Island were stunned when the winners of the street parade contest were announced and the MBYC was not among them. As in the past we decorated Commodore Frank Mulligan’s boat in his driveway. But this year we chose lighted dolphins pulling Santa’s sleigh in front of an “island” of lighted palm trees. And of course, MBYC elves walked beside the float passing out candy to the kids. Over 20 of our members participated in decorating and parading the float, which was cheered by locals and visitors all along the parade route. Maybe next year?”
