We knew that sooner or later it was bound to happen. January blew in with a gale and mother nature dealt a nasty hand to our January Monday Madness. The combination of wind in excess of 20 MPH and temps in the 50’s rendered the heaters ineffective and we retreated to CJ’s dining room. There’s the old saying that all good things end. Here’s hoping for a chamber of commerce day for February Madness.
In spite of the weather outside spirits were high and the conversation lively inside. Rudi held court at the Commodore’s table and circulated through the crowd extending greetings. We were favored with a visit from P/C Joe and Sharon Doggett who braved the blustery weather traveling from North Naples to join us.
Sally Orth diligently canvassed the crowd pedaling tickets to the 50-50 drawing. Vern Graham was the lucky first place winner and Sherry Fitzjarrald the second place winner.
The MBYC 2018 Rosters were distributed to members who attended the Commodore’s Ball. Unclaimed rosters are available for pickup at the Ships Store table at Monday Madness. If you haven’t claimed yours this is the perfect reason to come to the next Monday Madness. Just look for Sherry. She’s eager to get your Roster to you.
