On January 27, with picture perfect weather, 33 people (including 6 potential members), 14 boats and one jet ski comprised the MBYC Day Fleet for the COVID appropriate and socially distant “Secrets of the Isles of Capri” Tour and a Cruise to Naples.
First, Joel & Sherry Fitzjarrald and Dianne & John Kernan led us through the Isles of Capri with VHF commentary. We now have tracks to every restaurant in the Isles, including “the world’s only on-the-water McDonalds.”
John created an Isles of Capri trivia contest was won by P/C Frank Mulligan answering 9 of 11 questions correctly.
Following the Capri tour, we took the inside route through the mangroves to Naples with a drive-by of Keewaydin Island led by P/C Frank & Marianne Mulligan aboard To Many Wakes which seemed quite appropriate with all the boat traffic. Frank provided a running commentary of “local knowledge” throughout the trip.
It was wonderful to be on the water and actually see all our MBYC friends without Zoom!
