The first stop on our March cruise was at Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda where Cookin’ (Brent & Susan Cook), My Cherie (Jerry & Cherie Hoover), Karine (Bob & Sandy LaMontagne) and Divergent (Bill Schroeder) enjoyed a fun three-night stop.
All 4 of us were docked together on F dock, which was conveniently located right in front of the dockmaster’s office, the restaurant and The Trading Post Store.
Dinner was outside overlooking the marina the first night, inside overlooking the marina on the second night and our final night was a pizza party on the deck of The Trading Post.
Daytime was filled with long walks around the complex and a number of games of Mexican Train.
Bill had to leave us for our second three-night stop which was at Tween Waters where we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with dinner at the Old Captiva House. At dinner we got to watch the sunset and a number of us saw the “Green Flash”, some for their first time.
Biking to town and also to dinner at the Green Flash Restaurant was another of our adventures on Captiva.
The final day we all had a fun time playing Jenga that was loaned to us by the Daughertys.
Our next cruise is 17 nights as we travel across the state, down the east coast and home thru the Keys.
