Day Fleet participants enjoyed a pleasant Spring outing to the HavAnnA Cafe in Chokoloskee. With a forecast predicting stronger Northwest winds for the return trip, boaters decided it was better to leave their vessels on the lift and participate by land yacht. Participants enjoyed a breezy but comfortable luncheon in the outdoor garden area of the Café. Whether traveling by land or sea, it quickly became apparent from the lighter car and boat traffic that many of our seasonal friends have already left Paradise for their homes up North.
Our last Day Fleet trip of the season, tentatively scheduled for May 13th to the Three60 Market in Naples, now called Seventh South Waterfront, is at risk due to a shortage of dock space. Please stay tuned while we explore alternative venues.
