FLAG PRECEDENCE

· The U.S. Ensign.
      All  vessels  may  fly  the  flag  of  the United States  from 0800 to sunset. It is generally  flown  from  the flagstaff at the stern of a powerboat.

· The Yacht Ensign.
      This is  known  as the  Betsy  Ross  Flag and  has a canted anchor  in  the center of  a  ring of  stars. Originally  flown only by documented  boats, it may now  be  flown  by any vessel in lieu of the U.S. Ensign, except in foreign waters.

· The U.S. Power Squadron Ensign.
      It  may  be  flown  under  the same  circumstances  as   the Yacht Ensign when the vessel is  under the command of  a member of the U.S. Power Squadron.

· The Marco Bay Yacht Club Burgee.
      The club burgee  is  generally  flown  from a bow staff.  It may be flown at all hours.

· Officer Flags.
      Present and past officer flagsofoffice are  flown from the mast of a vessel. If the vessel has no mast, it is flown from the starboard antenna.
      Commodore: Blue with white anchor and white stars.
      Vice Commodore: Red with white anchor and white stars.     
      Rear Commodore: White with red anchor and red stars.
      Fleet Captain: All white with blue anchor.
      Past Commodore: Blue with white anchor and three white  stars.
