FLAG PRECEDENCE
· The U.S. Ensign.
All vessels may fly the flag of the United States from 0800 to sunset. It is generally flown from the flagstaff at the stern of a powerboat.
· The Yacht Ensign.
This is known as the Betsy Ross Flag and has a canted anchor in the center of a ring of stars. Originally flown only by documented boats, it may now be flown by any vessel in lieu of the U.S. Ensign, except in foreign waters.
· The U.S. Power Squadron Ensign.
It may be flown under the same circumstances as the Yacht Ensign when the vessel is under the command of a member of the U.S. Power Squadron.
· The Marco Bay Yacht Club Burgee.
The club burgee is generally flown from a bow staff. It may be flown at all hours.
· Officer Flags.
Present and past officer flagsofoffice are flown from the mast of a vessel. If the vessel has no mast, it is flown from the starboard antenna.
